From my own experience, the more I get to know a person, the more a person’s name becomes more meaningful or even precious to me. This actually is the same in my relationship with God Yahweh. At first for quite some time, I found it very uncomfortable, almost disrespectful, if I were to address Him by name. In fact, even when I did call on His name, I would also address Him as my God or my Father at the same time.

Then as I recall His merciful dealings in my life especially in showing me the serious bondage I was in (my murmuring against my father since little had already turned into hatred), only then did I come to know His power and mercy in delivering me from sin. As such I then became aware that, in fact, this was how I should henceforth relate to Him, as my Redeemer in a very personal and meaningful manner!

The most mind-boggling aspect of my Father and Redeemer is that He is from Everlasting, to Everlasting! That’s why His name is from Everlasting to Everlasting because of Who He is!

So the concept of time is mainly applicable to mortals like us. We have a beginning and an end! I once saw a film made by The Moody Institute Of Science decades ago called “Time and Eternity”. Wow, was it eye opening indeed! Although I couldn’t follow all the scientific data in it but, at least, I began to have a glimpse of how the acceleration in speed and motion could lead to earlier aging, thus an earlier physical death! But this doesn’t mean that if one should slow down to a snail’s pace, then one could decelerate aging, let alone death!

Should this logic be true, then the concept from Everlasting to Everlasting would mean a slowing down into minus centillion times of stagnation! Whereas God’s word is referring to the spiritual aspect of Who our Creator God Yahweh IS! How truly amazing and marvellous He is! This is not only because of Him being always there but because of Him being The Creator of heavens and earth, including all that is in the heavens and earth also!

From this aspect alone, I am more than convinced and convicted to know for sure that there is absolutely no one else who is worthy of my heartfelt worship and adoration!
